It’s a tough time to be an organisational leader or manager – having to make the right calls, and mobilise your people at a time of relentless demand and continuous disruption.
At Passe-Partout, we have worked with thousands of leaders and managers, and have seen first-hand how hard it is to reconcile competing drivers – having to be approachable and detached, to make both instinctive and systematic decisions, and to deliver more with less.
Leading others can also be the most fulfilling experience our working life has to offer. Enabling teams to grow, innovate or even simply survive through pressure; building great systems, products and reputations – this is the impact leaders and managers can have when they maximise their talents.
We take a strengths-based approach to leadership and management programmes. Sure our programmes build knowledge, skills and confidence – but at heart we see that our job is to help each participant recognise and unleash their unique abilities as a leader.

Many of our clients value our ability to work with them to design unique programmes tailored to their culture and context
Our Current Programmes
Participants on our “Stepping Up” programme undertake a battery of personal profiles to help them establish a rounded understanding of their abilities and preferences.
Programme content focuses on people management, with sessions typically including Self-management, High Performance Teams, Managing Under-performance and Service Improvement
Suitable for both new and experienced managers, our programmes tend to be built around:
- Clarifying expectations of leaders and managers
- Enabling participants to scope personal Leadership Challenges which provide the focus for their development and activity
- Providing inspirational learning experiences around themes including Influencing and relationship management, Change and transition, Building and empowering teams, Agile decision-making, Resilience and wellbeing
For middle and senior leadership groups, our programmes are usually built around critical challenges for the organisation, and look to develop new appreciation of emerging topics such as Inclusive leadership, digital leadership or leading across systems and boundaries.
Accredited Leadership Training
Passe-Partout is a CMI approved centre offering Leadership and Management qualifications at Levels 5 and 7. The great advantage in our accredited offer is the design of practical, business-related content and assessments – without the bureaucracy and theory overload often associated with management qualifications.
"Personal Best sessions came at the right time and gave me the inspiration and motivation to take the next steps to follow a goal and succeed as well as understanding myself along the way after dealing with mental health issues."
Empowering Managers Through Change
By empowering people in the process of change, you accept that change is not simply a process. It requires a new way of thinking, a new way of acting, and a greater ambition to collaborate, engage, and innovate. When employees are empowered to change, the future vision is given new meaning.
Personal Best’s initial focus was solely on non-managers, with the goal of providing leadership quality training to front-line and back-office staff. However, continuous feedback has revealed a strong desire among leaders and managers for similar development, prompting the creation of Personal Best for Leaders in 2019.
Building Personal and Team Resilience
There’s no denying that we’re in the midst of an era of extraordinary challenge and change, one that’s putting individuals, teams, and organisations to the test.
The good news is that adversity brings out the best in many people. Through the pandemic, we’ve learned a lot about tools and techniques that can help us protect and strengthen our ability to succeed in the face of adversity.
