Exploring the need for coaching to link into the organisational context.

Managing coaching activities

The quality and results depend on choosing appropriate coaches and mentors, managing relationships and evaluating success.

How It Works

CMI qualifications at RQF Level 7 portray practical skills and competences that are rated in academic terms as being comparable to Master’s Degrees, Integrated Master’s Degrees, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate in Educations (PGCE) and Postgraduate Certificates.
The structure of the programme has been designed to provide participants with a solid foundation in coaching knowledge, skills and experience, catering for different learning needs with the following key features

🚀 6 month journey blending virtual and live learning:

Participant requirements

In deciding whether to pursue an accredited qualification, key questions for potential candidates to consider are:

  • Will a coaching qualification support my career development (professional or managerial)?
    • Absolutely and the workshop series alone would provide ample learning.
  • Do I have time to fit in at least 30 guided learning hours (GLH)?
    • Attendance at the modules, action learning sets and the self-study will meet these essential requirements to complete the qualification.

The following breakdown clarifies the commitment and attendance required:

Route

Level 7 Award Total qualification time (TQT) minimum 70 hours

GLH (30 hrs)

Induction (2hrs*) Four x half day workshops (16hrs) Directed self-study (18hrs**) Four x half-day action learning sets (14 hrs)

Management Report

Compile a 3000-3500 word report to demonstrate wider understanding of strategies to develop and improve your organisations coaching offer. (20 hours)

*This does not count towards your GLH total hours
**This includes all pre-course reading and self-assessment.

Delivery methods

A two-hour briefing will be organised prior to the first module to.

  • Explain the programme
  • Introduce key coaching and mentoring strategies within an organisational context
  • Ensure everyone is clear of the requirements to attain the CMI Level 7 Award
  • Clarify pre-course reading and self-assessment in preparation for module one

These would be four, interactive half-day workshops designed to support theoretical and practical appreciation of coaching practice. All four sessions would be delivered by the same tutor.

These have a dual focus:

  • Providing a forum for participants to reflect on their organisations coaching practice
  • To support the planning and completion of the assessment requirements

Continuous telephone and email support will be made available to participants plus face-to-face meetings if required in the run up to the submission of the assessment.

Unit 7019V1, Embedding coaching and mentoring in the organisation is about strategies to embed coaching and mentoring in the organisation, and align individual development to meet evolving organisational objectives.

To meet the assessment criteria of this unit you will be required to complete and submit a written report of 3000 to 3500 words. A full assessment brief and relevant templates will be provided to aid in completion of both pieces.
