How It Works

🚀 6 month journey blending virtual and live learning:

Participant requirements

In deciding whether to pursue an accredited qualification, key questions for potential candidates to consider are:

  • Will a coaching qualification support my career development (professional or managerial)?
    • Absolutely and the workshop series alone would provide ample learning.
  • Do I have time to fit in at least 30 guided learning hours (GLH)?
    • Attendance at the modules, action learning sets and the self-study will meet these essential requirements to complete the qualification.

The following breakdown clarifies the commitment and attendance required:

Route

Level 5 Award Total qualification time (TUT) minimum 70 hours

GLH (16 hrs)

Induction (2hrs*) Six x half day workshops (24hrs) Directed self-study (18hrs**) Three x half-day action learning sets (9 hrs)

Management Report

A written assignment of 3,000 to 5,000 words needs to be submitted to achieve this qualification.

*This does not count towards your GLH total hours
**This includes all pre-course reading and self-assessment.

Delivery methods

A two-hour briefing will be organised prior to the first module to.

  • Explain the programme
  • Introduce key coaching and mentoring strategies within an organisational context
  • Ensure everyone is clear of the requirements to attain the CMI Level 5 Award
  • Clarify pre-course reading and self-assessment in preparation for module one

These would be six, interactive half-day workshops designed to support theoretical and practical appreciation of coaching practice. All six sessions would be delivered by the same tutor.

These have a dual focus:

  • Providing a forum for participants to reflect on their organisations coaching practice
  • To support the planning and completion of the assessment requirements

Continuous telephone and email support will be made available to participants plus face-to-face meetings if required in the run up to the submission of the assessment.

To complete unit 533 Strategies for Delivering Professional Coaching, and attain the CMI Level 5 Award, participants need to attend all learning sessions, including an induction session. A written assignment of 3,000 to 5,000 words needs to be submitted to achieve this qualification.
